Paneer Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

  • 250 grams Paneer (Indian cottage cheese)
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tsp Red chili powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1 tsp Garam masala powder
  • 1 tbsp Ginger-garlic paste
  • 1 Onion, finely chopped
  • 1 cup Tomato puree
  • 0.25 cup Fresh cream
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • to taste Salt
  • Fresh coriander leaves for garnish

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix yogurt with red chili, turmeric, coriander powder, garam masala powder, ginger-garlic paste, and salt. Add paneer cubes to this marinade, ensuring each piece is well coated. Leave it to rest for a minimum of 30 minutes.
  2. In a pan, heat oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and sauté until golden brown. Add the tomato puree and mix well. Cook till it reduces to a thick paste.
  3. Add the marinated paneer to this paste and mix well. Allow it to simmer for 5-7 minutes until the paneer is cooked and the flavors blend well.
  4. Stir in the fresh cream and mix gently.
  5. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves and serve hot with Naan or rice.
