Paneer Butter Masala

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams Paneer
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 medium size Onions
  • 3 medium size Tomatoes
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 2 medium size Green Chillies
  • 15 pieces Cashew Nuts
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam Masala
  • 1 teaspoon Fenugreek Leaves
  • to taste Salt

Instructions:

  1. 1. Heat one tablespoon of butter in a pan.
  2. 2. Add chopped onions, garlic, ginger, green chillies, and cashews. Cook until onions are slight brown.
  3. 3. Add chopped tomatoes and cook until they are soft.
  4. 4. Let the mixture cool down and then blend it to a smooth paste.
  5. 5. In the same pan, add remaining butter and pour the blended paste in it.
  6. 6. Add red chilli powder, salt and garam masala.
  7. 7. Cook till butter starts leaving the side of the pan.
  8. 8. Add paneer cubes and cook for another 5 minutes.
  9. 9. Finally add fenugreek leaves.
  10. 10. Serve hot with roti or rice.
