Midnight Yakitori Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Boneless chicken thighs
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Sake
  • 4 pieces Skewers

Instructions:

  1. Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning
  2. Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces
  3. Skewer the chicken pieces, leaving small spaces between them for even cooking
  4. In a pan, combine soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and sake and heat over medium heat until sugar is dissolved
  5. Put the skewers on the grill, then baste the chicken with the sauce while turning the skewers occasionally
  6. Grill the chicken until it's cooked through and has a nice char, about 10-12 minutes
  7. Serve the Yakitori Chicken with rice for a satisfying midnight comfort meal
