Midnight Spicy Japanese Pork Ramen

Ingredients:

  • 2 packages Ramen Noodles
  • 1 pound Pork Tenderloin
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh Ginger
  • 4 cups Chicken Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Chili Oil
  • 4 stalks Green Onions
  • 2 units Soft Boiled Eggs
  • 2 units Sliced Red Chili

Instructions:

  1. In a large saucepan over medium heat, cook the pork tenderloin in vegetable oil until browned.
  2. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan and cook for another minute.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth, soy sauce, and chili oil. Bring the mixture to a boil.
  4. Once boiling, reduce the heat and let the broth simmer for 20 minutes.
  5. While the broth is simmering, cook the ramen noodles as per the package instructions and set aside.
  6. Slice the green onions and set aside. Prepare the soft boiled eggs and set aside.
  7. After the broth has simmered, strain it through a fine mesh sieve and return the broth to the pot. Discard the solids.
  8. Turn the heat back to medium-low, cut the cooked pork into thin slices and return them to the pot. Add the noodles and heat for another 2-3 minutes.
  9. Serve the ramen in bowls, topped with green onions, soft boiled eggs, and slices of red chili. Add more chili oil if desired.
