Midnight Parisian Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 Onion
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red pepper flakes
  • 1 can Canned crushed tomatoes
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper
  • a bunch Fresh basil
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions:

  1. 1. Cook the pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente.
  2. 2. While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a large sauté pan over medium heat. Add the garlic, onion, and red pepper flakes and cook until the onions are translucent, about 5 mins.
  3. 3. Add the canned crushed tomatoes to the pan, stirring well. Season with salt and black pepper. Allow the sauce to simmer for about 10 mins.
  4. 4. Drain the pasta and add it directly to the pan with the sauce. Toss to combine.
  5. 5. Tear a handful of fresh basil leaves and add them to the pan, stirring to combine.
  6. 6. Sprinkle the pasta with grated parmesan cheese and serve hot.
