Midnight Italian Pork Panini

Ingredients:

  • 4 slices Italian bread
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup sliced pork
  • 0.5 cup mozzarella cheese
  • 1 piece tomato
  • 4 pieces basil leaves
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon pepper

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat your panini press or griddle.
  2. 2. Lightly oil one side of each bread slice with olive oil.
  3. 3. On the non-oiled side of two slices, arrange half the pork slices, mozzarella cheese, tomato, and basil leaves. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. 4. Cover with the other bread slice, oiled side up.
  5. 5. Cook in the panini press or on the griddle until the bread is toasted and the cheese is melted.
  6. 6. Remove from heat and let it stand for a minute.
  7. 7. Slice in half and serve hot.
