Midnight French Chicken Croissant Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces chicken breasts
  • 2 pieces croissants
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 4 leaves lettuce
  • 1 piece tomato
  • 4 slices Swiss cheese
  • to taste salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  2. In a pan over medium heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Add the chicken and cook until golden and cooked through, about 7-8 minutes per side.
  3. In the same pan, with residual heat, add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
  4. Slice the croissants in half. Spread one side with Dijon mustard and the other side with mayonnaise.
  5. On the mayo side of the croissant, layer the lettuce, sliced tomato, and cooked chicken. Top it with Swiss cheese.
  6. With the leftover butter, toast the sandwiches in the pan until the cheese is melted and croissants are crispy.
  7. Serve the sandwich immediately, enjoy your delicious midnight meal!
