
Midnight Cravings - Chinese Style Spicy Garlic Fish

Ingredients:
- 2 Pieces White fish fillets
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 3 Tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 2 Tablespoons Rice vinegar
- 1 Tablespoon Sugar
- 1 Teaspoon Cornstarch
- 1 Teaspoon Red chili flakes
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
- 2 Tablespoons Vegetable oil
- 2 Stalks Green onions
Instructions:
- Pat the fish dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Heat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add the fish and cook until golden brown on both sides, about 3-4 minutes per side. Transfer to a plate and set aside.
- In the same skillet, add another tablespoon of oil. Add the minced garlic and chili flakes and cook until fragrant.
- Combine soy sauce, rice vinegar, sugar, and cornstarch in a small bowl. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved and the mixture is smooth. Pour this mixture into the skillet and stir well.
- Return the fish to the skillet and spoon the sauce over the fillets. Let the fish simmer in the sauce for a few minutes until it is cooked through and the sauce has thickened.
- Slice the green onions and sprinkle over the fish. Serve hot.
