Midnight Chicken Parmigiana

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces Chicken breasts
  • 1 piece Eggs
  • 0.5 cup Italian breadcrumbs
  • 0.5 cup Parmesan cheese
  • 0.5 cup Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.75 cup Marinara sauce
  • To taste Fresh basil
  • As needed Olive oil
  • To taste Salt
  • To taste Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
  3. Beat the egg in one bowl. In another bowl, mix the breadcrumbs and parmesan cheese.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the egg, then roll it in the breadcrumb mixture.
  5. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium-high heat, then add the chicken. Cook each side for 3-4 minutes until they turn golden brown.
  6. Pour half of the marinara sauce into a baking dish. Place the chicken on top, then cover it with the rest of the sauce.
  7. Top it off with mozzarella cheese.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes. The cheese should turn bubbly and golden.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.
