Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Beef sirloin steak
  • 0.25 cup Soy sauce
  • 0.25 cup Brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Grated ginger
  • 1 tablespoon Minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 cup Rice
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Start by cooking the rice as per the instructions on the package.
  2. For the teriyaki sauce, mix together soy sauce, brown sugar, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Thinly slice the beef sirloin steak. This is easier if the meat is partially frozen.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat, and then add the beef slices.
  5. Cook the beef for about 2 minutes on each side, or until it is nearly cooked through.
  6. Pour the teriyaki sauce over the beef, and continue to cook for another 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and the beef is well coated.
  7. While the beef is cooking, chop up the green onions.
  8. Serve the beef over the cooked rice, and garnish with the green onions and sesame seeds. Enjoy your delicious late-night snack!
