Midnight Beef Bourguignon

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef chuck
  • 2 cups Red Wine
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 large Yellow Onion
  • 1 large Carrot
  • 2 cups Beef broth
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • to taste Salt and pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Thyme
  • 1 loaf Baguette

Instructions:

  1. 1. In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the beef and brown on all sides.
  2. 2. Remove the beef from the pot and set aside. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and carrot and cook until softened.
  3. 3. Add the flour to the pot and stir to coat the vegetables. Slowly pour in the red wine while stirring continuously.
  4. 4. Return the beef to the pot and add the beef broth, salt, pepper, and thyme.
  5. 5. Reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and simmer for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. Serve the beef bourguignon with slices of baguette.
