Mexican Fish Tacos for Midnight Cravings

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Fish fillets
  • 8 pieces Tortillas
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 piece Lime
  • 1 cup Cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Sour cream
  • 2 pieces Chipotle morita chiles
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro
  • to taste quantities Salt
  • to taste quantities Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat.
  2. Salt and pepper the fish fillets and place them in the pan. Cook until browned and easily flaked with a fork, about 4 minutes per side.
  3. While the fish is cooking, slice the cabbage, cilantro and lime.
  4. In a blender, mix the sour cream and chipotle moritas until smooth. Season this sauce to taste with salt.
  5. Warm up the tortillas. You can do this in an oven, on the stove, or even in the microwave.
  6. Assemble the tacos by laying a piece of fish on a warm tortilla, then topping with the chopped cabbage, a dollop of the sour cream sauce, some cilantro, and a squeeze of fresh lime juice. Repeat these steps until all the fish and tortillas are used.
  7. Enjoy your delicious homemade fish tacos while they're still warm!
