Servings: 2
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 15 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 pieces Salmon fillets
- 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons Mirin
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1 clove Garlic
- 2 stalks Scallions
- 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds
Instructions:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with salt and pepper.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, mirin, sugar, and finely minced garlic to form the teriyaki sauce.
- Heat up a non-stick pan on medium high heat. Once hot, add the salmon, skin side down and sear for about 3 minutes until the skin is crispy.
- Flip the salmon over and sear for another 2 minutes.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce into the pan and let it simmer until it thickens slightly, glazing the salmon fillets. Remove the pan from the heat.
- Serve the salmon with a sprinkling of sliced scallions and sesame seeds on top, next to your favourite side, whether that's steamed rice, miso soup or a simple salad.
