
Japanese Yakitori Chicken Skewers

Ingredients:
- 500 grams Chicken thighs
- 2 units Spring onions
- 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon Mirin
- 1 tablespoon Sake
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 10 units Skewers
Instructions:
- Cut the chicken thighs into bite-size pieces.
- Cut the spring onions into 1-inch pieces.
- Prepare the Yakitori sauce. Mix the soy sauce, mirin, sake, and sugar in a bowl until the sugar is dissolved.
- Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.
- Thread the chicken and onions onto the skewers.
- Heat a grill or a cast-iron grill pan over medium heat. Brush some oil onto the grill.
- Cook the skewers on each side for about 2-3 minutes or until the chicken is fully cooked.
- While cooking, brush the skewers several times with the sauce.
- Serve immediately, with more sauce on the side if desired.
