Japanese Yaki Udon

Ingredients:

  • 400g grams Udon noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking oil
  • 1 piece Onion
  • 2 pieces Bell peppers
  • 2 pieces Carrots
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 4 tablespoons Teriyaki sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Boil the udon noodles as per the packet instructions. Once cooked, drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan or wok, heat the oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the diced onions, bell peppers, and julienne carrots to the pan. Stir fry for about 3 minutes, or until vegetables are just about cooked.
  4. Add the udon noodles to the pan, followed by the teriyaki and soy sauce. Stir well to distribute the sauces evenly. Cook for about 2 more minutes.
  5. Just before removing from heat, add the sliced green onions and sesame seeds, and give another quick stir.
  6. Serve your Yaki Udon hot, garnish with more sesame seeds if desired.
