Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 2 cups Japanese short-grain Rice
- 2.5 cups Water
- 0.5 teaspoon Salt
- 1 can Canned Tuna
- 2 tablespoons Mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon Soy Sauce
- 4 sheets Nori Seaweed
Instructions:
- Wash the rice until the water runs clear. Combine rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the rice cooker instructions.
- While the rice is cooking, drain canned tuna and mix it with mayonnaise and soy sauce.
- When the rice is done, let it cool down a little bit. Wet your hands to keep the rice from sticking, then take about a quarter of the rice and form it into a triangle shape, putting a spoonful of tuna mixture in the middle and covering it more rice.
- Wrap the onigiri with a sheet of nori seaweed, then repeat with the remaining rice and tuna.
- Enjoy your homemade Japanese tuna onigiris!
