
Japanese Pork Katsu

Ingredients:
- 4 pieces boneless pork chops
- to taste salt
- to taste pepper
- 1 cup flour
- 2 pieces eggs
- 2 cups Panko breadcrumbs
- for deep frying oil
- to serve Tonkatsu sauce
- 4 bowls steamed rice
- 4 plates shredded cabbage
Instructions:
- Season the pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides. Set aside.
- Prepare three dishes for breading: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with Panko breadcrumbs.
- Coat a pork chop in flour, shake off the excess. Then, dip it into the beaten eggs. Finally, coat it with Panko breadcrumbs. Make sure the pork chop is fully covered at each step.
- Repeat the process for all the pork chops.
- Heat the oil in a deep frying pan. Once the oil is hot, carefully place the breaded pork chops into the pan. Fry until golden brown on both sides. This should take about 4-5 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Once cooked, remove the pork chops from the pan. Let them drain on a paper towel.
- Slice the pork into strips. Serve them over steamed rice and shredded cabbage. Drizzle with Tonkatsu sauce. Enjoy your Japanese Pork Katsu!
