
Japanese Morning Beef Bowl (Gyudon)

Ingredients:
- 500 grams Beef
- 2 whole Onions
- 2 cups Japanese rice
- 2 cups Beef broth
- 100 ml Sake
- 100 ml Soy sauce
- 50 grams Sugar
- 3 stalks Green onions
- as needed Pickled ginger
- 4 whole Eggs
Instructions:
- Slice the beef and onions thinly.
- Rinse the rice under cold water until the water runs clear.
- Cook the rice according to directions on the package.
- Saute the onions in a pan until transparent.
- Add the beef and cook until browned.
- In the same pan, add beef broth, sake, soy sauce, and sugar. Stir until the sugar dissolves.
- Cover and simmer until the liquid is reduced to half.
- In a different pan, fry each egg to your preference.
- To serve, put rice in a bowl, top with beef mixture, then the fried egg.
- Sprinkle with green onions and serve with pickled ginger on the side.
