- 4 servings Miso Soup
- 4 Nori Sheets
Instructions:
- Preheat the grill on medium heat.
- Mix soy sauce, mirin, and sake in a bowl to make marinade.
- Marinade the mackerel fillets for at least 5 minutes.
- Grill the mackerel for 7-10 minutes on each side until cooked through and golden brown.
- Meanwhile, cook the Japanese short-grain rice as per packet instructions typically rinsing the rice, adding it to a pot with water and leaving it on medium heat.
- Serve grilled fillets with the cooked rice, miso soup, Japanese pickles, and a nori sheet on the side. Enjoy your traditional Japanese breakfast!
