Japanese Grilled Mackerel

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Mackerel Fillets
  • 2 tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Mirin
  • 1 tbsp Sake
  • 1 tbsp, grated Ginger
  • 1 whole for serving Lemon

Instructions:

  1. Firstly, make the marinade by combining soy sauce, mirin, sake, and grated ginger in a bowl.
  2. Place the mackerel fillets in a dish and pour over the marinade. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for best results.
  3. Preheat your grill on medium heat. Remove the mackerel from the dish and wipe off excess marinade. Grill the mackerel on each side for about 2-3 minutes or until the fish flakes easily.
