Japanese Fruit Yakitori

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces Skewers
  • 1 medium size Pineapple
  • 4 pieces Kiwi
  • 2 pieces Pears
  • 8 pieces Grapes
  • 3 tablespoon Mirin
  • 1 tablespoon Soy Sauce
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Ginger
  • 0.5 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Instructions:

  1. Peel and cut pineapple, kiwi and pears into chunks.
  2. Thread fruit and grapes onto the skewers.
  3. In a small bowl, combine mirin, soy sauce, ginger and cinnamon. Mix well.
  4. Preheat a grill pan over medium-high heat.
  5. Brush grill pan with a small amount of oil to prevent sticking.
  6. Place skewers on the grill pan.
  7. Brush the fruit skewers with the mirin mixture.
  8. Grill for 2-3 minutes on each side or until char marks appear, brushing occasionally with more sauce.
  9. Remove from the grill pan and serve immediately.
