Japanese Fruit Rice Bowl

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Sushi rice
  • 2 cups Water
  • 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 2 cups Assorted fresh fruits like mango, kiwi, pineapple, and strawberries
  • 4 sheets Nor seaweed sheets
  • 1 teaspoon Black sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. In a pot, combine the sushi rice and water. Bring it to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for about 20 minutes.
  2. While the rice is cooking, mix together the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt in a small bowl until sugar and salt dissolve.
  3. Once the rice is cooked, pour the vinegar mixture over it and gently fold to combine.
  4. Let the rice cool slightly. In the meantime, prepare your selected fruits by cleaning and cutting them into small pieces.
  5. Place a nori sheet on a serving bowl, add a layer of sushi rice on it. Then top it with your assorted fruits.
  6. Sprinkle with black sesame seeds.
  7. Repeat the process until four bowls are ready. Best served fresh.
