Japanese Comfort Miso Soup with Fish

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces White fish fillets
  • 2 tablespoon Miso paste
  • to taste Soy Sauce
  • 2 sticks Green onions
  • 1 block Medium tofu
  • 4 cups Dashi stock
  • 0.5 cup Shiitake mushrooms

Instructions:

  1. 1. Cut the tofu into 1-inch cubes and slice the green onions into thin rings.
  2. 2. In a large pot, bring the dashi stock to boil.
  3. 3. Lower the heat and add miso paste, stir until fully dissolved.
  4. 4. Add the tofu, shiitake mushrooms, and fish to the pot. Let them simmer for about 15 minutes, or until the fish is thoroughly cooked.
  5. 5. Add soy sauce to taste and garnish with green onions before serving.
  6. 6. Serve hot with steamed rice for a comforting and hearty lunch.
