Total Time: 50 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup White Rice, uncooked
- 1.5 cups Water
- 2 pieces Fish fillets (such as salmon or mackerel)
- 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 tablespoon White Sugar
- 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
- 2 stalks Spring onions
- 1 teaspoon Ginger, freshly grated
- 1 sheet Nori (Dried seaweed)
Instructions:
- Wash the rice until the water runs clear. Add the washed rice and water to a pot, cover, and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 20 minutes, or until the rice is cooked through and the water is absorbed.
- While the rice is cooking, marinate the fish fillets with soy sauce, sugar, and grated ginger for 10 minutes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat. Place the fish fillets in the pan and cook for around 5-6 minutes on each side or until the fish is cooked through and lightly browned.
- Slice the spring onions into thin rings. Tear the nori into small pieces.
- When the rice is done, fluff it lightly with a fork. Serve the cooked fish on top of the rice, garnish with the sliced spring onions and pieces of nori.
