Italian Pork Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Pork sausage
  • 6 slices Italian bread
  • 1.5 cups shredded Mozzarella cheese
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 Eggs
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons chopped Fresh basil
  • 1 medium sliced Tomato

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Brown the pork sausage in a skillet over medium heat, then set it aside.
  2. Cut the Italian bread into one-inch cubes and place them in a greased casserole dish. Sprinkle the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the bread.
  3. In a bowl, beat together the eggs, milk, and Italian seasoning. Pour this mixture over the bread and cheese in the casserole dish.
  4. Spread the browned sausage over the egg mixture, then top with the sliced tomato and fresh basil.
  5. Bake the casserole in the preheated oven for about 45 minutes, or until the eggs are set. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
