Indian Style Beef Curry

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Beef Stew Meat
  • 1 whole Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves
  • 1 inch Fresh Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Curry Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cumin
  • 1 can Can of Crushed Tomatoes
  • 2 cups Beef Broth
  • 2 tablespoons Cooking Oil
  • to taste Salt and Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Chop the onion, garlic, and ginger finely.
  2. Heat the oil in a large pot over medium heat. Add the beef and cook until browned on all sides. Remove from the pot and set aside.
  3. In the same pot, add the onion, garlic, and ginger. Cook until the onion becomes translucent.
  4. Add the curry powder, turmeric, and cumin, stirring well to combine. Cook for a minute until the spices become fragrant.
  5. Add the crushed tomatoes and beef broth. Stir well, scraping any bits from the bottom of the pot.
  6. Return the beef to the pot. Bring the mixture to a simmer, cover, and cook for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  7. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with rice or naan bread.
