Indian Shrimp Masala

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Tomatoes
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chilli Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • For garnishing Cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a wok or frying pan on medium heat.
  2. Chop the onion and garlic cloves, add to the pan and cook for 2-3 minutes until the onions turn golden brown.
  3. Chop tomatoes and add them to the pan. Cook until tomatoes are soft and well-cooked. This may take about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Add all the dry spices (turmeric, chili and coriander powders) and salt to the pan and mix them well. Cook for another 2 minutes.
  5. Add the shrimp to the pan. Mix everything together so that the shrimp is well coated with the masala. Cook until shrimp turn pink. This might take 5-7 minutes.
  6. Garnish with chopped cilantro before serving. Enjoy your quick and easy Indian Shrimp Masala.
