Indian Midnight Chicken Curry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Chicken
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 Green chilli
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 1 large Tomato
  • 2 tsp Curry powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 0.5 tsp Garam masala powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • a handful chopped for garnish Cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan, add chopped onions, green chilli, garlic, ginger and fry until onions become translucent.
  2. Add chopped tomato, salt, and stir for a while until the tomato becomes mushy.
  3. Add turmeric powder, curry powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, garam masala and stir well for a minute.
  4. Add the chicken pieces and cook on a medium flame for about 15-20 minutes until the chicken becomes tender and all the spices are well incorporated.
  5. Garnish with cilantro and serve hot with white rice or flatbread.
