Indian Breakfast Poha

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups Poha (Rice Flakes)
  • 1 cup Peas
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 Green Chili
  • 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 Lemon
  • 1/4 cup Fresh coriander leaves
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 tablespoons Oil

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the poha in clean water until it softens. Drain and set aside.
  2. Chop the onion, chili, and coriander leaves finely.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, then add mustard seeds.
  4. When the seeds start to pop, add the chopped onions and chili. Sauté until they become translucent.
  5. Add the peas, turmeric powder and the soaked poha. Stir well to mix.
  6. Cover the pan and let everything cook for 5-7 minutes.
  7. Turn off the heat and squeeze the lemon over the poha. Mix well.
  8. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and serve hot.
