Servings: 4
Prep Time: 15 minutes
Cook Time: 20 minutes
Total Time: 35 minutes
Ingredients:
- 4 pieces salmon fillets
- 3 tablespoons white miso paste
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons sake
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 pieces garlic cloves
- 1 inch ginger
- 3 pieces scallions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a medium bowl, whisk together miso paste, soy sauce, sake, mirin, sugar, finely chopped garlic and grated ginger until smooth. This will be your glaze.
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and place them in a zip lock bag. Pour the miso glaze over the salmon and make sure all pieces are well-coated. Marinate for at least 2 hours, or overnight for maximum flavor.
- Preheat your oven to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C). Remove the salmon from the marinade and place it onto a lined baking tray.
- Bake the salmon for about 15-20 minutes, or until it easily flakes with a fork.
- In the meantime, slice the scallions finely.
- Once the salmon is done, sprinkle it with sesame seeds and scallion slices.
- Serve your miso-glazed salmon with warm steamed rice or sauteed vegetables. Enjoy!
