
Hearty Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients:
- 4 Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 cup All-purpose flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1 cup Panko bread crumbs
- 1 cup Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Canola oil
- 2 cups Marinara sauce
- 1.5 cups Mozzarella cheese
- 1 tablespoon Chopped fresh basil
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
- Season the chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Dredge each chicken breast in the flour and tap off excess, then dip in the beaten eggs and then dredge in the panko bread crumbs mixed with parmesan cheese.
- Heat the canola oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken on both sides until golden brown, about 3 minutes per side.
- Pour a small amount of marinara sauce into the bottom of a baking dish. Add the seared chicken breasts on top and spoon the remaining marinara sauce over the chicken.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken and sauce.
- Bake until the chicken is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly, about 20 minutes.
- Garnish with chopped fresh basil before serving.
