Healthy Late-Night American Style Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 200 grams Whole grain pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 3 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Cherry tomatoes
  • handful Fresh basil
  • to taste Parmesan cheese
  • to taste Salt and pepper

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add pasta and cook until al dente, as per the package instructions. Drain and keep aside.
  2. Meanwhile, in a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
  3. Add the cherry tomatoes to the skillet. Season with salt and pepper, then let them cook until they start to pop and release their juices, about 5 minutes.
  4. Toss the cooked pasta into the skillet with the tomatoes and garlic. Stir well to combine and to coat the pasta with the olive oil and tomato juices.
  5. Remove the skillet from the heat. Tear the fresh basil leaves and throw them into the skillet. Toss again to distribute.
  6. Serve the pasta with a generous sprinkling of grated parmesan cheese on top. Enjoy your healthy late-night pasta dish!
