Healthy Italian Baked Chicken Parmesan

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 1 cup unit Bread crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unit Grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp unit Dried basil
  • 1 tsp unit Dried oregano
  • 1 tsp unit Garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups unit Marinara sauce
  • 1 cup unit Mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp unit Olive oil
  • As per taste unit Salt and black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a shallow bowl, combine the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, basil, oregano, and garlic powder.
  3. Brush both sides of the chicken breasts with olive oil, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. Dip each chicken breast in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring both sides are fully coated.
  5. Place the breaded chicken breast in a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes.
  6. Remove the chicken from the oven and evenly spread the marinara sauce over each piece.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top of the chicken and sauce.
  8. Return the dish to the oven and bake for another 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  9. Serve the chicken parmesan with a side of whole-grain pasta or a salad for a complete, healthy dinner.
