Healthy Indian Style Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Whole Wheat Pasta
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 large Onion
  • 3 cloves Garlic Cloves
  • 1 medium Red Bell Pepper
  • 1 medium Green Bell Pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric Powder
  • 1 teaspoon Red Chili Powder
  • 2 teaspoons Garam Masala
  • 1 cup Chopped Tomatoes
  • handful Chopped Cilantro
  • to taste Salt

Instructions:

  1. Boil the whole wheat pasta until al dente, as per package instructions.
  2. For the Indian style sauce - Heat a pan and add olive oil. Once hot, saute the onions and garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add chopped red and green bell peppers to the pan and saute until they soften.
  4. Add turmeric, red chili powder, and garam masala. Cook until spices are well combined.
  5. Stir in chopped tomatoes and cook until the tomatoes are mushy and sauce-like.
  6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, add salt to taste and mix well.
  7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot.
