Healthy Indian Chicken Masala

Ingredients:

  • 150 grams Boneless chicken
  • 1 can Diced tomatoes
  • 2 medium Onions
  • 2 cloves Minced garlic
  • 1 tsp Grated ginger
  • 1 tsp Garam masala
  • 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  • 1 tsp Coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp Red chili powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • for garnish Chopped cilantro

Instructions:

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Sauté the onions until they turn translucent. Add the minced garlic and grated ginger, sauté for another 2 minutes.
  3. Add the garam masala, turmeric, cumin, coriander, and chili powder to the pan and mix well.
  4. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until it is well coated in the spices and its natural juices run clear.
  5. Add the diced tomatoes to the pan and stir well. Let the mixture simmer on low heat until the tomatoes break down and the sauce thickens.
  6. Season with salt to taste and garnish with chopped cilantro before serving.
  7. Serve with brown rice or rotis for a healthy, satisfying Indian dish.
