Healthy Indian Beef Skewers

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Beef, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch Ginger
  • 3 tablespoons Plain yoghurt
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • Salt to taste
  • 8 pieces Bamboo skewers for grilling

Instructions:

  1. Quarter the beef into 1-inch cubes.
  2. Peel and grate the ginger and garlic.
  3. In a bowl, combine the yoghurt, garam masala, turmeric, cayenne pepper, lemon juice, garlic, and ginger.
  4. Season the mixture with salt according to taste.
  5. Add the beef cubes into the marinade. Ensure all pieces are well coated and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Soak the bamboo skewers in water for 30 minutes before the end of the marinating period.
  7. Preheat your grill or broiler on medium heat.
  8. Skewer the marinated beef cubes onto the soaked bamboo skewers.
  9. Grill or broil the beef skewers for about 2-3 minutes on each side, or until they reach your preferred level of doneness.
  10. Serve the healthy Indian beef skewers hot with your choice of dip or chutney.
