
Healthy Chinese Steamed Fish Breakfast

Ingredients:
- 1 Whole White Fish (like sea bass, halibut, or flounder)
- 3 slices Fresh Ginger
- 2 stalks Scallions
- 3 tbsp Soy Sauce
- 0.5 tsp Sea Salt
- 1 tbsp Cooking Wine
- 1 tbsp Sesame Oil
- 0.25 cup Cilantro
- To taste Freshly Ground Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Clean the fish thoroughly. Make several diagonal cuts on both sides of the fish. Rub sea salt inside and outside the fish. Set it aside.
- Arrange sliced ginger and half of scallions in the bottom of a steamer. Place the fish on top and sprinkle with cooking wine. Steam over high heat for about 15 to 20 minutes or until cooked through.
- While the fish is steaming, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix together soy sauce and sesame oil.
- Once the fish is cooked, remove the steamer from the heat. Pour away any water that's been released by the fish. Lay the remaining scallions over the fish.
- Heat the sauce over medium heat until hot, and then pour it over the scallions and fish. This step helps release the aroma of the scallions and soy sauce.
- Garnish the fish with cilantro and serve immediately with freshly ground black pepper on top. Enjoy this healthy and satisfying Chinese seafood breakfast!
