Healthy Chinese Beef and Broccoli

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Sirloin steak
  • 2 cups Broccoli florets
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Ginger
  • 1/4 cup Low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Honey
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1/4 cup Water
  • 1 teaspoon Sesame oil

Instructions:

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
  2. In a small bowl, whisk together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, honey, cornstarch, and water.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a wok or large skillet over medium-high heat.
  4. Add the beef to the pan and cook until browned on all sides.
  5. Add the broccoli to the pan and cook until tender, about 3-5 minutes.
  6. Pour the sauce over the beef and broccoli, stirring to combine.
  7. Continue cooking for an additional 2 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened.
  8. Serve the beef and broccoli over steamed rice, if desired.
