Healthy American Egg Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 8 Eggs
  • 1 cup Low-fat milk
  • 2 cups Whole grain bread crumbles
  • 1 cup Chopped onions
  • 1 cup Diced bell peppers
  • 1.5 cups Shredded low-fat cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9x13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, beat the eggs and milk together until fully combined. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Add the bread crumbs to the egg mixture and let them soak for about 5 minutes.
  4. Stir in the onions, bell peppers, and 1 cup of the cheese.
  5. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish and top with the remaining cheese.
  6. Bake for about 45 minutes, or until the casserole is set and the top is golden brown.
