Fruit Sushi Rolls
Servings: 2
Prep Time: 20 minutes
Cook Time: 10 minutes
Total Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 1 cup Sushi rice
- 1.5 cups Water
- 2 tablespoons Rice vinegar
- 1 tablespoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 4 sheets Nori sheets
- 8 units Strawberries
- 2 units Kiwi
- 2 units Bananas
Instructions:
- Rinse the sushi rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Combine the sushi rice and water in a rice cooker and cook according to the cooker instructions.
- In a small saucepan, combine the rice vinegar, sugar, and salt. Heat over low heat until the sugar and salt have dissolved. Once the rice is done, slowly mix in the vinegar mixture into the rice and let it cool.
- Place a piece of nori on a bamboo sushi mat. Spread a thin layer of sushi rice over the nori, leaving about 1 inch bare at the top.
- Thinly slice the strawberries, kiwi, and bananas. Arrange the slices in a line down the center of the rice.
- Roll the sushi tightly using the bamboo mat as a guide. Once rolled, use a sharp knife to slice the roll into bite-sized pieces.
- Repeat with the remaining ingredients.
- Serve your fruit sushi rolls immediately with a side of low-sugar syrup or honey for dipping, if desired.
