Fruit Poha

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups Poha (flattened rice)
  • 3 cups Water
  • 1.5 cups Assorted Fruits (apples, bananas, grapes)
  • 2 tablespoons Sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 2 tablespoons Cashews or Almonds, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon Clarified butter (ghee)

Instructions:

  1. Soak the poha in water for about 5 minutes until it's soft. Drain the water completely.
  2. In a pan, heat the clarified butter (ghee) and add the chopped nuts. Saute until they are golden brown.
  3. Add the soaked poha to the pan and stir. Then add sugar and cardamom powder and mix well.
  4. Add the chopped fruits and mix gently. Cook for about 5 minutes until all the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Serve your Fruit Poha hot or warm for a comforting Indian breakfast.
