French Style Poached Fish

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Fish fillets (like Cod or Halibut)
  • 1 cup Dry white wine
  • 1 Onion
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 2 tablespoons Lemon juice
  • 1 bunch Fresh parsley
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions:

  1. First, prepare your ingredients: Chop the onion and garlic, and set them aside. Slice the lemon, remove seeds and squeeze the juice out.
  2. In a large pan, combine fish, wine, onion, garlic, and lemon juice. Add enough water to cover the fish. Bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Once boiling, reduce heat to low and let it simmer, covered, for about 10-15 minutes, or until the fish is cooked through.
  4. Season with salt, pepper, and add fresh parsley.
  5. Serve warm with a side of steamed vegetables or a light salad.
