
French-Style Breakfast Casserole

Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 loaf French bread
- 6 units Eggs
- 2 cups Whole milk
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons Chopped mixed fresh herbs
- to taste units Salt and pepper
- 1.5 cups Gruyère cheese
Instructions:
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and butter a 9x13 inch baking dish.
- Cut the French bread into 1-inch cubes and place them in the buttered baking dish.
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, herbs, salt, and pepper until smooth. Pour this mixture over the bread cubes.
- Sprinkle the grated Gruyère evenly over the top of the bread and egg mixture.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 35 minutes, until the cheese is bubbling and golden and the casserole is set in the middle.
- Let the casserole stand for 5 minutes before serving to make it easier to slice.
