
French Rice Pilaf

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Long grain rice
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 1 small Onion
- 1 piece Garlic clove
- 2 cups Chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Thyme
Instructions:
- Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat.
- Add diced onion and minced garlic, sauté until they become soft.
- Add rice, stir frequently for about 5 minutes until rice is lightly toasted.
- Add chicken broth, salt, black pepper, and thyme. Stir well.
- Cover the pan and reduce heat to low. Let it simmer for 20 minutes, till the rice is tender and the liquid is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, leave it covered for 5 more minutes. Then fluff the rice with fork before serving.
