French Fruit Tartlets

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces Pre-made tartlets shells
  • 2 cups Assorted fruits (strawberries, blueberries, kiwi, peaches, etc.)
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 1 tsp Vanilla extract
  • 0.5 cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Unsalted butter

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. 2. Place the pre-made tartlet shells onto a baking sheet and cook in the preheated oven for 5 to 10 minutes, or just until slightly golden.
  3. 3. While tartlet shells are baking, chop the fruits into small pieces.
  4. 4. In a saucepan over medium heat, add sugar, cornstarch, water, and vanilla extract. Stir regularly until the sauce starts to thicken.
  5. 5. Add the chopped fruits into the saucepan and mix until the fruits are evenly coated with the sauce.
  6. 6. Remove tartlet shells from the oven and fill each one with the fruit mixture.
  7. 7. Return the filled tartlets to the oven and bake for another 10 to 15 minutes, or until the fruits are tender and the sauce is bubbly.
  8. 8. Take the tartlets out of the oven and let them cool before serving.
