French Coq au Vin Tagliatelle

Ingredients:

  • 4 pieces Chicken pieces
  • 140 grams Bacon
  • 200 grams Button mushrooms
  • 10 pieces Shallots
  • 500 ml Red wine
  • 500 ml Chicken Stock
  • 2 sprigs Thyme
  • 400 grams Tagliatelle Pasta
  • 50 grams Butter
  • 2 cloves Garlic Cloves
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper

Instructions:

  1. Heat half the butter in a pot and brown the chicken on all sides, then remove to a plate.
  2. Add the bacon to the pot and cook until crisp, then add to the plate with the chicken.
  3. Add the remaining butter to the pot and cook the mushrooms and shallots until golden, then add to the plate with the chicken and bacon.
  4. Pour the red wine into the pot and scrape the bottom to deglaze, then add the chicken stock, thyme, and garlic and bring to a simmer.
  5. Return the chicken, bacon, mushrooms, and shallots to the pot, then season with salt and pepper and simmer covered for 1 hour.
  6. Cook the tagliatelle in a separate pot of boiling salted water according to the package instructions, then drain.
  7. Serve the coq au vin over the tagliatelle and enjoy.
