Exotic Thai Beef Stir-Fry

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Beef sirloin
  • 1 stalk Lemongrass
  • 2 pieces Red Thai chilies
  • 0.5 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 2 cups Rice

Instructions:

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips, set aside.
  2. Bruise lemongrass stalk, chop finely and set aside.
  3. Finely chop the garlic and Thai chilies.
  4. Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan.
  5. Add the lemongrass, garlic, and chilies to the pan and stir-fry for about 1 minute.
  6. Add the beef and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes or until it is seared on all sides.
  7. Add the soy sauce and oyster sauce to the wok and stir-fry for another 1-2 minutes.
  8. Add the basil leaves, give the stir-fry one last stir, then remove from heat.
  9. Serve the Beef stir-fry with a side of steamed rice.
