Exotic Szechuan Fish Snack

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces Fish fillets
  • 1 tablespoon Szechuan peppercorns
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 stalks Green onions
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Szechuan peppercorns
  • 2 pieces Red chili peppers
  • enough for frying Cooking oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean the fish fillets and pat them dry.
  2. Grind the Szechuan peppercorns to a coarse powder.
  3. Mix together the garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl to make a marinade.
  4. Marinate the fish in this mixture and leave it aside for 10 minutes.
  5. Heat the cooking oil in a pan.
  6. Fry the marinated fish until it’s golden and crispy on both sides, then set aside.
  7. Using a small amount of the used oil, stir-fry the red chili peppers, Szechuan peppercorns, and chopped green onions until fragrant.
  8. Lay the cooked fish on a plate, spoon the stir-fried spices over the top, and it's ready to serve.
