Exotic Southern Fried Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces Chicken drumstick
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Black Pepper
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Buttermilk
  • 2 tablespoons Exotic Cajun seasoning
  • enough for deep frying n/a Vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Rinse the chicken drumsticks and pat dry with a towel.
  2. Season the drumsticks with salt, black pepper and half of the Cajun seasoning.
  3. Dip each drumstick into the buttermilk and then roll in flour.
  4. Do this for all the drumsticks and set aside for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep fryer or large pan to 375°F (190°C).
  6. Add the rest of the Cajun seasoning to the hot oil.
  7. Fry the chicken drumsticks, a few at a time, for about 10 minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
