Exotic Smoked Gator Ribs

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds Alligator ribs
  • 1/2 cup BBQ spice rub
  • 1 cup Apple cider vinegar
  • 1 cup BBQ sauce
  • 1 bag Apple wood chips for smoking

Instructions:

  1. 1. Preheat your smoker to 225 degrees Fahrenheit and add apple wood chips.
  2. 2. While the smoker is preheating, rub the alligator ribs generously with the BBQ spice rub.
  3. 3. Place the ribs in the smoker and cook for about 3 hours, or until the meat is tender and has reached an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. 4. While the ribs are cooking, mix together the apple cider vinegar and BBQ sauce in a small saucepan over low heat. Keep warm until the ribs are ready.
  5. 5. Once the ribs are done, remove them from the smoker and let rest for about 10 minutes.
  6. 6. Brush the ribs with the warm BBQ sauce and vinegar mixture, then serve.
